Poems Aren't Just For Poets Anymore

Land Rover Range Rover

I was browsing the internet the other day and I happened accross a car poems sight. This intrigued me so I checked it out and it was quite interesting. I'm including a link to the sight so you can check it out. http://www.poemhunter.com/poems/car/ This is the site I said I would be including. The link will pop out a new window don't worry it's not spam, it's real. And just for the heck of it I included a cool SUV picture.

Auto Questions?

I have many questions for the auto industry. Some of them include: Why are concept cars never shown outside the auto show? Another one is: What is the point of a concept car? and How many man hours does it take to produce one average size sedan for any manufacturer? and Is the time to build a sedan for all auto manufacturers? Those are just a few and if you have any other questions feel free to get a hold of me and let me know what they are. I would be happy to do some digging around to find the answer if I can. My email is: McKenrick9@comcast.net send your questions here.

Chevy: America's Brand

1928 Chevy Truck

1967 Chevy Camaro

The Chevrolet was the all American brand that came shortly after the Ford Motor Company created the Model T. The Chevy (as it's commonly called) is the brand that created the Americans iconic car: The Chevrolet Camaro. It was originally produced to have the biggest motor out of all cars on the market. It succeeded for the longest time. Then in the early 2000's the Camaro was discontinued in promise that when it was re-released it would have more ties to the original body style of the 1960's. Now not to leave out the iconic Chevy trucks. They had a humble beginning as a heavy wood-bedded pick-up truck. They have evolved into the Chevrolet Duramax dually trucks of today. They elongated the body of the years of production. Then the engine size was maxed out for the size of the truck that was created. Chevy also had some failures. Those cars were still Chevy but Chevy wishes to dis-own these awkward failures. One of these failures was the Chevy Chevette. It was meant to be a smaller but just as fast version of the iconic Chevy Corvette. It was the biggest failure in the eyes of the Chevy corporate level. However the Chevette was one of the highest selling Chevy's because of it's low price and the fact that they knew it was Chevrolet produced. The Chevrolet is the All-American brand and always will be.

All About V-Dubs

Herbie The Lovebug

The Volkswagen was created in Germany for German army use. the VW Thing was meant to keep up with the American Humvee in WWII. It has become one of the most custom cars in America next to the Chevrolet. V-Dubs as they're often called were used in movies like the "Herbie-The Love Bug" series. The Volkswagen bug as it's now called has made quite the advancement over the 5o years that it's been on the market. The VW Bug took a brief hiatus in 2008 to 2012 when it was re-introduced with a new body line. The VW bug was originally a rear-engine right side drive micro machine. It was mass produced to be cheap and replaceable quite easily. Another VW that made it big was the VW Busses. They made a miniature version of the Bus called what else but the Microbus. They were also rear engine (as most V-Dubs were in the 60's) but the Bus was meant to last. They built it with a host of windows so it would feel like an actual bus, but people took it more as a closet on wheels or a closet. The V-Dub Bus was the iconic surfer vehicle in the 1960's. Volkswagen made it specifically for surfers with one large sliding door on the passenger side of it. VW also made it an option to have the bus come standard with a surfboard rack.

What's the best car company?
